1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a site stores on your device when you visit it. They are used to make the site work, remember preferences, understand in aggregate how the site is used and, with your consent, personalize content and communications.
2. Categories we use
We use four main categories: (a) Essential, required for basic operation; (b) Functionality, which remembers preferences such as language; (c) Analytics, which help us improve the site; and (d) Advertising and Personalization, which enable more relevant communications on external platforms. Essentials are always active; the rest are only activated with your explicit consent.
3. Default consent (Consent Mode v2)
On your first visit, all non-essential categories are DENIED by default. This means that Google services (Google Ads and Google Analytics, if configured) do not store advertising cookies, do not personalize ads and do not measure your activity until you grant consent. We also activate ads_data_redaction=true and url_passthrough=true to strengthen privacy when you browse the site without accepting cookies.
4. Updating your consent
When you accept, reject or save preferences on the banner, your choice is sent to Google via gtag('consent', 'update', ...). A cookie_consent_update event is also recorded in the dataLayer so measurement tools adjust to your decision.
5. Storage and validity
Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage (localStorage) under the key finansear_consent_v1. If you clear the browser's local storage or cookies, the banner will appear again and you will be able to choose once more. You can update your preferences whenever you want from the "Manage preferences" button on the banner.
6. Third-party services
We use Google Ads (conversion ID AW-18064110603) to measure campaigns and, depending on the current configuration, Google Analytics. These services may set their own cookies subject to their own policies: check Google's privacy policies for more information.
7. Your options
You can: (a) accept all categories; (b) reject all non-essential categories; (c) manage each category separately; or (d) delete the consent stored in your browser so the banner is shown again. In addition, most browsers allow blocking cookies from their settings.
